wigs as a lifestyle choice

Wigs can make terrific sense as a lifestyle choice for many people, particularly women who feel that their appearance is important in their job, and that this can be improved by wearing a wig.

It is so easy, so convenient and so cost effective. At www.wearmyhair.com we have many customers for whom this is exactly it. It is not only very expensive and time-consuming to go to the hairdresser every few weeks, but for most people, a new cut and style simply doesn't stay looking good for more than a few days anyway. A wig, on the otherhand, will stay looking good, exactly as you bought it, for weeks and weeks. Months even, depending on how often you wear it. It is a really good investment and because a wig is such a practical choice over and above, salons, hairpieces and extensions, many customers buy more than one in order to have different styles to suit mood, occasion or both.

My husband often complains about my huge wardrobes of clothes and shoes. And I have to agree, I do have a lot of clothes and shoes, but I live and work in a city where I feel my appearance matters. For the same reason, I too wear a wig most of the time. My natural hair is awkward. It is not curly or frizzy but it just sticks out and is so thick it sits on my head like a hedge and I hate it! On the other hand, where we are just now, holidaying in our little retreat www.norfolkcottage.co.uk my appearance is of very little concern to me. I wear outdoor clothes - jeans or "Fat Face" style clothing to suit the long country walks and pub lunches that we will indulge in. And, when on such pursuits, I couldn't care less about my hair, so I just go about 'au naturel', save a dab of make-up, which I confess I cannot do without.

But it really is 'each to her own'. I just feel that for many women, the huge confidence boost that good hair brings, makes spreading the word about wearing a wig as a solution if you don't feel you have good hair, is important as so many customers say that they wish they had discovered it sooner!
