Just made these sweet little she-she bags for storing your wig! Bright and glitzy, they are perfect for storage and travel and sleep-overs. So much nicer than the plastic bag that the wigs come in. With draw string closure and a lining they are washable too. Here are the pictures.

In the meantime, I have taken some pictures of this gorgeous little wig and so you can see it right away. Called Mary May this little wig is the last word in fabulous strawberry blonde colour, so much softer than the full-on red!

For the best glamour looks wearing wigs and hairpieces and extensions, we are going to make some exciting new changes to the website pages and displays!

Some major changes are afoot. Unfortunately, the live model images of our women's wigs have not really worked too well in terms of sales. The reason for this is I think that we were unable to choose specifically suitable models for the wig styles, lengths and colours. Also, the photographer concentrated on making glamour shots of the models instead of making glamour shots of the wigs.
The hair is not best displayed or photographed, and we are about to change that. We will keep the live models wearing wigs in a gallery where they can still be viewed, but in order to retain complete control of the wig styles, colours and glamour effects of wearing wigs, we will use mannequins again. We are going to photograph them all again to make better shots and the wig images on the main category pages for women's wigs, long wigs, medium length wigs will be bigger. They will rotate giving a great experience of viewing almost as you would turn around using a mirror yourself in fact. You will still be able to see and return to all the static shots, but we feel we are not doing justice to our fabulous range of products so a change is needed.

I am thinking that 2011 is going to be the best year for wearmyhair. More and more people are starting to wear wigs for fashion on a daily or several times a week basis. Wigs are ideal for just having a change. It is far less dramatic and devastating to decide you dont like a style or colour on you if you are talking about a wig rather than a lasting change you have made to your own hair.

Wearing wigs gives you the best of both worlds - you get a new hairstyle without the drama and cost of going to the hairdresser and having something done which you might regret and worse - you have paid a small fortune for. Yes, we are working hard to improve and enlarge the wig images on the site www.wearmyhair.com. We think that though it may not be essential to always use live models to model the wigs & hairpieces, it is essential that all images of wigs on live models or mannequins must be really good. For a start, we are getting rid of brightly coloured backgrounds so that the wigs stand out rather than the backgrounds. We are then going to look at the quality of the photos themselves and improve them where possible. We are also going to look at having rotating images rather than static wig images showing front, back and side views.

Due any day now are some more short wigs. We have a cute little bob in a light red colour as well as a better mid-brown/ mousy colour and even white. Pictures will be posted here as soon as they arrive. Watch this space!

New wigs from new wig supplier

Well, here we are again, back from South Africa and inspired by all those gorgeous black girls all wearing fabulous wigs. Long wigs, medium length wigs, short wigs, even in the townships where many people are very poor, they still wear wigs in preference to their own afro hair.

We have a new wig supplier. In China again, and we are ordering some more shorter styles as many ladies after a certain age, prefer to have a shorter hairstyle than they perhaps did when they were younger. The stock we have is currently suited to the older lady and we need some more youthful short wigs for the " middle-youther "!
