The biggest advantage of being a wig supplier independant of the big wholesalers, is that I can supply wigs bespoke and to order. Again yesterday, I had a phone call from a lady about a child with leukemia whose predicted hair-loss will be so distressing to her that they have asked me to get her a wig made to match her own hair. This we can do. All we need is some photos showing head & shoulders and front, back and side views, and we can have that made for her. The lead time is usually about 2 weeks but at peak busy periods it can take longer. This is an ideal solution for anyone who wants a wig that will replicate, in as far as possible, their own style. If it is a children's wig, it helps to know the age of the child in order to gauge the suitable cap size.

Wigs in Cambridge

Wear my Hair® now a registered Trade Mark, I hope you notice! We exhibited our wigs, hairpieces & extensions last Sunday at the "Live Local, Love Local" Fair sponsored by Agenda Magazine. Held at Quy Mill Hotel, it was at first quiet but picked up in the early afternoon.

We got a great deal of interest with lots of people trying on wigs, hairpieces & extensions. For the first time we also displayed children's wigs and men's wigs.

Sales of wigs in both these categories are increasing as more and more people realise that there are alternatives to putting up with alopecia, cancer or leukemia caused hair-loss, and without spending hundreds of pounds. Nowadays, synthetic wigs are very well made and do not irritate the scalp or cause itching. They are lightweight, airy and comfortable and are suitable for children of all ages, providing that they prefer to wear a wig rather than using none or some other head covering.

I did actually forget to demonstrate the wig caps so I will do them next. Then I will do some more accessorising and show the She-bags, She-she bags and He-bags, the free, handmade little storage bags which are made from recycled fabrics and are so much more personal than the plastic bags that the wigs are delivered in.

At last, I have made some much better video clips demonstrating wearing wigs and accessorising wigs. In fact, I have covered and will continue to cover the same topics as the previous videos, but using a camcorder the quality is so much better. I cannot upload them all just yet as some are too long and will have to be split into several, but demonstrating me wearing at least three different wigs, shows how fabulous it is at changing your look altogether. That is the message I give to all you white girls who, like me, have difficult hair and cannot style it the way you want to - loose it and wear a wig instead. Like me, you will begin to experiment and have fun with different colours and wig styles and lengths. Here are some of the clips now.

I have updated this page on my website to show the She-bags, She-she bags & He-bags as these people will really like them. They are great for taking anywhere you might need/want to take your wig on and off. Swimming for instance. Also, for going on holiday, travel and sleep-overs, these free bags are designed to add value and make wearing a wig, buying a wig, and storing a wig less impersonal and more pleasurable.

New video clips !

Hi everybody, finally getting round to doing the video clips again. This time, I will be using a camcorder and as well as all the previous stuff, will show me in different wigs to show how different it makes you look. You can wear nude make-up with a blonde wig, or much bolder with a darker wig. It is a great way to change your look between the seasons. I do tend to wear lighter colours in clothes, make-up and wigs in Summer and darker in Winter.

Hopefully, I will start the recording tomorrow as today, though I have done some recording, I really haven't got it as well in shot as I can so I will ask hubby to help me later. It is important and a significant improvement on the last videos to be able to show the wigs and hairpieces and extensions in full length. Will have another stab at it tomorrow!
